Each year diagnosis codes are updated and this year is no different. Unlike CPT updates which take effect on January 1st, ICD-10 updates take place on October 1st. For 2018 there have been several deletions, revision, and additions that take place across several specialties. This webinar is designed to give you all of these updates, as well documentation tips to ensure the medical record supports the diagnosis code billed. For 2018 there are over 350 NEW codes, 250 Revised codes, and over 140 DELETED codes. The coding changes cover a broad range of specialties and will impact most providers. Along with this understanding proper clinical documentation in order to support the diagnosis code billed is key to proper reimbursement and compliance.
