Today, more than ever before, it is critical that patients don’t just receive good medical care at your practice, but also have a great experience overall. There are several key reasons for that:

The first reason is since we live in a digital world, patients often write reviews about their positive and negative experiences. Also, the first thing patients do when a provider is recommended to them or when they are trying to find a new provider is search for them online and read reviews. Therefore, practices must put in place many measures and accommodations to ensure their patients and prospective patients have a high-quality overall experience with their staff, services, office, and providers.

The second reason is that payers are starting to pay close attention to how their patients are rating providers in their network. Providers who have low reviews are starting to have their Fee Schedule reduced and potentially being excluded from the payer’s network. On the other hand, providers with a very positive rating can use it as leverage when negotiating new rates and contracts with payers.
